Welcome to Foxdown Class

Welcome to Foxdown Class! Miss Louise McCann is the teacher and  Mrs Jo Birch leads the Preschool. Mrs Louisa Honey is the teaching assistant in the class, which contains children in Preschool, Reception and Year 1. When Miss McCann is undertaking her Leadership duties, Ms Dannee Bird teaches the class.

We use the Class Dojo app to keep you up to date with the latest announcements and reminders, so please make sure that you have downloaded the app and responded to your invitation (sent by email) to join your child's Class so you receive announcements from us. 

We have PE with Ms Bird on Tuesdays. However, timetables often do change so please make sure PE kits are in school all week. 

 

Home Learning

All children will bring home a library book weekly, this is to share for pleasure and for you to read to your child. 

Reception and Year One Alongside their library book, the children will bring home a reading book. This is for them to read to you. Please listen and support your child to read this three times. Look inside the back cover for guidance on where to focus the three reads. Please record this in your child's reading record. The children will also have a red book in their book bags. This gives guidance on letter formation and tricky words, use the book to practise in.

 

Books will be changed on Fridays. Please keep books, reading records and red books in your child's bookbag as we use them daily.
