The Governing Boards of Woolsery Primary School and the Flying Start Federation, comprising Buckland Brewer and Parkham Primary Schools, are delighted to announce that, following the end of the consultation period, both the  governing bodies of The Flying Start Federation and Woolsery Primary School met on the 15/03/22 at Parkham Primary School and at the meeting, in separate votes, they voted unanimously to federate.

The new Federation will come into being on the 25^th April 2022 under the leadership of Mr Matt Cole,   currently Head Teacher at Woolsery, and a newly formed Governing Board that will have representation from both existing Boards.

During the consultation period, meetings were held with Staff, Parents and the three Parish Councils all of which provided very positive feedback. The Governors have  taken into account all of the comments received and  as a result, can see that the majority support this new venture which ensures that the individuality, ethos and viability of the three schools remains intact.
